Elaine Hannigan

Elaine Hannigan is a Director in the Prime Services group at Scotiabank, in New York. At Scotiabank, she is senior member of the International Securities Lending desk, covering global equities, with a specialization in EMEA, APAC and Latam, as well as, increasing access to global supply. She has been integral part of the US Prime Brokerage build over her time at Scotia. In addition, she founded and co-chairs the Working Parents Group, an employee resource group at Scotiabank in the US.
Elaine received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vassar College, and her MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. She began her career at Merrill Lynch where she built the Asian securities lending team. She lived in Tokyo and Hong Kong for 8 years working for Merrill Lynch and later for Lehman Brothers. Upon her return to the United States, she joined Barclays Capital on the International Securities Lending desk. She was recruited to LBBW, later acquired by Guggenheim, prior to joining Scotiabank.
